This Mastro is a beautifully done pipe. The grain is gorgeous, and the sterling silver band makes for a very eye pleasing piece! Known for the great smoking qualities and reasonable price point (especially being an Italian piece), Mastro de Paja pipes are a real gem for any pipe smoker or collector.

 

Mastro de Paja, like many Italian workshops they use acrylic for their stems, which will not discolor or oxidize, though unlike most they tend to stick, color-wise, to classic black. Their drilling, engineering, fit and finish are excellent all-around, at prices that surprisingly modest considering the quality they provide.
